The Residential Market in Málaga Continues its Upwards Trend Despite Covid-19

New build prices in Málaga are remaining stable in the short term along with investor interest from domestic and international funds looking to position themselves in the market.

After a very good performance and the creation of some solid foundations during 2019 and the first few months of 2020, the current situation has resulted in a pause in the residential market in Málaga. However, new build prices are remaining stable in the short term, as is investor interest from domestic and international funds looking to position themselves in the market.

Last year, the city registered an 18% increase in the average price of a multi-family home That rise took the average price per square metre of a multi-family home to €2,425/m², whilst that of a single-family home was €1,800/m². That is according to the Malaga Residential Market Report published by the international consultancy Savills Aguirre Newman.
