At the Council of Ministers meeting next Tuesday, the coalition government formed by the PSOE and Unidos Podemos expects to approve the decree that will prohibit the eviction of tenants from rental homes if they do not have a “decent” housing alternative until 9 May.
In the end, the decree will include financial compensation for small and large property owners. The Government is also studying how to incorporate a veto against cutting basic supplies into the decree law, which is being prepared by the vice presidency of Ecological Transition, according to sources close to Cinco Días.
