The veto on evictions, ‘abusive’ rents and other measures relating to large rental property owners have been extended until 31 January 2021, according to the legislation adopted by the Executive on Wednesday. The ban on the eviction of tenants without an alternative home ended on Friday, whilst the veto on ‘abusive’ rents and the measures relating to large rental property owners ended on Wednesday.
In this way, it will not be possible to evict a tenant without an alternative home under the same terms established until now. This activity had already been suspended for six months following the end of the State of Emergency, that is, until 21 December 2020.
