In 2020, 1,793,000 square metres of logistics space was leased in Spain, up by 20% compared to 2019, according to data from CBRE. This figure covers the Central Zone, Cataluña, Valencia, Zaragoza, Sevilla, Málaga and Bilbao.
Specifically, 923,000 square metres of space was rented in the Central Zone, the second-highest figure since 2011. Of that total, 722,000 square metres was net. This region saw the highest volume of activity in the market, accounting for 61% of the total space leased in 2020.
