The surprise inclusion last week of two modifications to the Royal Decree published on 22 December that suspends evictions, and whose validity is restricted to the duration of the State of Emergency, has set alarm bells ringing.
The new text expands the protection to illegal occupation by eliminating the possibility of suspending the stoppage of an eviction even if it is the consequence of a crime.
