The new facilities are designed to respond to the growth of e-commerce logistics, expand the dispatch area and support Mango’s new business lines.
The new facility will add 90,000 m2 of floor space to the centre, which will reach a total of 280,000 m2, and will allow the company to reduce its online channel preparation costs by 25%. Part of the expansion will come into operation in 2022 and will be fully operational a year later.
With the expansion, Mango will incorporate new automated systems, such as a sorter that will allow sequencing orders and automate the management of returns; it will have autonomous mobile robots for the internal movement of the centre, and a sorter will be added to control shipments.
