The logistics sector is surging ahead at the end of the year. The investment fund EQT Exeter has acquired a logistics portfolio from Logicor, for close to 280 million euros, according to Cinco Días.
The portfolio consists of four logistics assets; leased to C&A, Cortefiel, Primark and Leroy Merlin. They total 300,000 square metres on the A-2, between Madrid and Guadalajara. JLL and Knight Frank led the sale.
Initially, Logicor was owned by Blackstone; but, in 2017, it was sold to CIC. Soon after, they asked Blackstone to take back the management and, in return, they gave them 10% of the company.
The buyer is a private equity fund unknown in Spanish real estate due to its limited presence. It manages 8.85 billion euros and is one of the owners of Idealista.
