The e-commerce boom has made Castilla-La Mancha one of the favourite targets for real estate investment. Its proximity to Madrid and its transport network, both road and rail, has placed several areas in the provinces of Toledo and Guadalajara within Spain’s prime logistics hub.
“We want investors to know that Castilla-La Mancha is the perfect place for foreign investment. Our central location is focused on Madrid, with four of Spain’s main highways passing through the region, allowing the logistics sector to establish itself,” explains Luis Noé, director of the Institute for Foreign Development of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX), in an exclusive meeting with Brainsre.news during Mipim 2021.
This is the case of the Corredor del Henares – with towns such as Cabanillas del Campo and Azuqueca as benchmarks – or Toledo – with Illescas as a standard-bearer -, something that the regional authorities want to boost by helping to promote new projects there. “The axis of the Corredor del Henares and La Sagra, without forgetting other strategic areas, are some of the regions we are looking to develop. Along with Puertollano and Albacete,” Mr Noé states.
