Axa to Sell Five Office Buildings in Barcelona for 250 Million Euros

The insurer expects to finalise the sale this summer and has already received several offers for the five buildings, which are leased on a long-term basis to the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Axa, the French insurer, has put five office buildings in Barcelona on the market for 250 million euros. The assets are occupied by the Generalitat de Catalunya on a long-term lease.

The sales process started a few weeks ago, and the deal is expected to close this summer. So far, the bids submitted by some candidates have already exceeded the required amount, according to Expansión.

The assets, known as the Pentagon portfolio, include the headquarters of the Catalan government’s Department of Education (Via Augusta, 202), the headquarters of the Statistical Institute of Catalonia (Via Laietana, 58), the offices of the Department of Digital Policies and Territory (Aragó, 244), the offices of the Department of Justice (Aragó, 332) and the headquarters of the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda (Gran Via, 612).
