The German investment fund AIF Capital has bought two car parks in the centre of Barcelona. The investment vehicle, which was founded in 2019 and which focuses on garages, specialises in buying up parking lot buildings and underground parking lots. It then retains ownership of those assets and delegates their management to local companies, according to Idealista News.
The car park acquired on this occasion is Parking Princesa, located at number 20 Vía Laietana, one of the most important streets in the centre of Barcelona. The German manager has completed the transaction through its fund Parking Fund Europa for an amount that has not been disclosed. This operation follows the fund’s previous investment: the purchase of Parking Financia located on Calle Mallorca in Barcelona.
