The French hotel group B&B is resuming its growth plans in Spain and Portugal, after they were interrupted by the Covid-19 health crisis. The company has announced that it is going to open three hotels in Almería, Murcia and Alcorcón (Madrid) this year and that it will make its debut in Málaga during the first quarter of 2021, according to Cinco Días.
At the end of 2019, the chain had 33 establishments in Spain and three in Portugal and its objective was to close 2020 with 52 establishments in the Iberian Peninsula, before adding another twelve in 2021. However, the tourism paralysis has forced it to change the deadlines for the construction of the four hotels that it is building from scratch and for the rental of the twelve properties that are already built whose rents are being negotiated.
