The Municipal Housing and Land Company (EMVS), which forms part of Madrid City Council’s Housing Department, has announced that it will postpone for four months the rental payments of all the tenants of its commercial premises whose economic activity has been affected due to the crisis caused by coronavirus.

In this way, Madrid City Council is extending the moratorium approved by the central government, which applies only to SMEs and self-employed people with commercial premises for rent. This means that, now, associations and entities that rent one of the 86 premises owned by the municipal company may also request a moratorium.
