The crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic is beginning to have a knock-on effect on rental housing. Although there were still price increases compared to the same month last year, small monthly drops are becoming evident, as “monthly payments with some capital are especially difficult to cope with by the families most affected by the health crisis,” the firm stated.
According to a monthly report on rental prices by pisos.com, in July 2020, housing for rent in Spain had an average surface area of 111 square meters and an average monthly rent of 975 euros. This figure marked a m-o-m decline of 1.52%, though rents were still up by 2.74 y-o-y.
