In 2022, 463,614 residential mortgages were registered in the property records, 10.9% more than in 2021. In addition, the average amount loaned was 145,510 euros, which represents an interannual increase of 5.8%, as reported by Spain’s National Institute of Statistics on Thursday.
In total, the value of mortgages constituted over homes reached 67.5 billion euros in 2022, up by 17.3% YoY.
