The price of urban land has fallen in Spain to 136.4 euros/m2 in the first quarter of 2021, a drop of 17% y-o-y, according to the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda.
Thus, the average price in the first three months of the year is the lowest in the entire series, which began in 2004, when the price per square metre of urban land reached 206 euros. Furthermore, the figure between January and March 2021 is 52% lower than the high for the series (285 euros/m2 in 2007).
The most expensive urban land was in the Balearic Islands, at 294.7 euros/m2. That was followed by Madrid (270.6 euros/m2), the Basque Country (191.1 euros/m2) and the Canary Islands (175.1 euros/m2).
