The volume of turnkey logistics projects in Cataluña has skyrocketed in light of the lack of availability of this type of asset in the area. During the first half of 2022, 162,860 square metres of this type of logistics space was leased, accounting for almost half of the 392,883 square metres transacted during the period, according to CBRE.
According to David Oliva, CBRE Barcelona’s Director of Industrial and Logistics, the trend observed in recent years «has involved warehouses being adapted to the needs of the client and has led to a modernisation of the stock of industrial and logistics assets in Cataluña».
