
The PSOE’s proposal for the future Housing Act, which has been placed on the negotiating table with Unidos Podemos, does not include mechanisms for lowering rental prices in high-demand areas, but rather is limited to seeking formulas that avoid «abusive increases», as reported by El Confidencial.
Nevertheless, in the basic agreement between the two parties, it was established that in high-demand areas «containment mechanisms and eventually the lowering of prices would be established, for both new and existing contracts».
