So far in 2022, work has started on a total of 65,150 new homes in Spain, according to data from the real estate big data platform Brains Real Estate. The municipalities that are home to the greatest number of newly built units are: Madrid (4,579), Málaga (1,611), Valencia (1,399), Valdemoro (1,357) and Sevilla (1,355).
In the third quarter of 2022, the average price of new-build housing in Spain stood at 2,635 euros per square metre, which represents an increase of 8.9% over the last twelve months and of 1.6% in quarter-on-quarter terms. Meanwhile, the average ticket for a new home amounts to 315,232 euros, according to updated data from Brainsre.
