The First Social Housing Socimi in Spain is Created

The Socimi Primero H will start life with 170 homes for social rental; its founders want to take the company public within the next two years.

On Thursday, Marian Juste, President of Hogar Sí, and Javier Basagoti, President of Asocimi, the trade association for Spanish Socimis, unveiled Primero H, a project aimed at combatting homelessness using the Socimi investment vehicle formula.

The Socimi, which will officially begin operating at the end of March, will start life with 170 homes for social rental. Its founders want to take the company public within the next two years.
