The insurance company Mapfre has closed the sale of its headquarters in Bilbao to the regional Basque Country Government. According to various sources, the operation has been closed for 41 million euros. The building will be used to house the new Courts of Justice.
The asset spans 19,110 square metres in total, including the basement, although that still needs to be renovated. The regional Government calculates that it will need to invest 16 million euros to convert the property into the new courts.
