Even before the record figures were registered in the Spanish real estate sector during the first half of 2022, the recovery was already remarkable. Based on official results, which have now been published in full, the aggregate turnover of the forty main real estate companies in Spain amounted to 11.6 billion euros last year.
That figure is 27.6% higher than during 2020, a year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, once the negative impact of the lockdowns was overcome, the real estate sector resumed its upward trend, with a strong recovery in investment in a context of high liquidity and low interest rates.
