Salary disparity. During 2021, the main real estate companies listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange, such as Colonial, Lar España, Merlin Properties, Metrovacesa, Neinor Homes and Renta Corporación, paid 13.8 million euros to their senior executives, according to information sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). This list does not include Urbas, Nyesa or Montebalito, since those firms have not yet submitted their annual reports for the last financial year.
The amount relates to salaries, including the fixed and variable components, as well as any additional remuneration linked to the executives’ performance of their duties for the listed real estate companies. Many directors, in turn, own shares in the companies themselves, for which they also receive annual dividends.
