Real estate transactions returned in 2022 (at the highest level and in the retail sector). Despite being a year of two very different halves, the 12 months will end with figures that easily exceed those recorded in 2021. According to preliminary data from the real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield, investment in all segments of the real estate sector in Spain amounted to around 13.7 billion euros in 2022, up by 14% compared to the figure registered in 2021.
Unlike the data recorded during the last three years, it should be noted that this volume includes 1.5 billion euros corresponding to the sale and purchase of companies dedicated to the management of real estate assets, a significant figure «which indicates that investor appetite is still latent», say sources at the consultant.
