The third logistics ring in Barcelona is now home to two of the most active names in the industrial segment. Nuveen Real Estate and Scannell Properties have announced that they are starting work on the construction of a new logistics platform in Constantí (Tarragona). The new logistics asset will have a total gross leasable area (GLA) of 40,000 square metres and will be built on a plot spanning 60,000 sqm.
The construction company at the centre of the operation is GSE, whilst Scannell Properties will be responsible for carrying out the construction of the logistics complex, which is expected to be completed in the summer of 2023. The building permit has already been granted «and the startup and execution of the building work is expected to be very fast,» the companies said in a statement.
