
The Barcelona town of Matadepera has overtaken Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid) as the Spanish municipality whose residents have the highest average income per capita.
That is according to statistics based on personal income taxes by municipality corresponding to the financial year 2018, published by the Tax Authorities. No data is available for municipalities in the País Vasco and Navarra because they have their own regional tax regimes.
