
The initial permit has been granted by the Governing Board of Madrid’s City Council for the renovation of the property, which has a gross leasable area of more than 3,300 square metres distributed over the ground, basement and five above-ground floors. The approval forms part of the streamlining of licenses launched following the delays caused by coronavirus.
Cristina Pérez, Director of Spain for Kennedy Wilson Europe, confirmed that «this is excellent news since the renovation and repositioning of this iconic asset will allow us to offer a globally attractive commercial destination in one of the most well-known squares in Europe».
