JLL has placed Pleo, a company operating in the FinTech sector, in DP11, occupying the entire building and deciding to sublease three out of the seven floors.
The real estate consultancy firm placed Pleo in DP11 through its Office Leasing department and represented the company in the subleasing of the available space through the Tenant Rep team.
Pleo, operating in the FinTech sector, has occupied the entire building and decided to sublease three out of the seven floors, one of which includes an exclusive terrace of over 200 m2. There is still a total area of approximately 1,130 m2 available for lease.
The decision to sublease part of the occupied area was motivated by the strong dynamics in the Lisbon office market, as well as the scarcity of quality products in the city center. Tenants also prefer ready-to-use spaces with superior finishes.
Prior to this process, JLL led the sale of the DP11 building through its Capital Markets department and was selected by the new owner for the repositioning, remodeling, and commercialization of the asset. A multidisciplinary team, including experts from the Work Dynamics, Leasing Markets, and Tétris departments, was involved in the project.
According to Sofia Tavares, Head of Office Leasing, «When Pleo approached us, they were looking for a building close to public transportation and with nearby services and commerce to attract their predominantly young foreign employees to the office. In addition, it was important for them to ensure the well-being and comfort of their team, so outdoor and social spaces were one of the requirements to fulfill. This building in one of Lisbon’s prime locations was the ideal option for Pleo.»
She adds, «This represents a strategic step for the company at a time when there is a high demand for sublease spaces.»
