Last year, house sales reached their highest volume in 14 years. According to the College of Registrars, 564,569 sales were registered during 2021. That represents an increase of 34.5% compared to 2020.
The average house price amounted to 1,853 euros per square meter last year, 0.5% more than in the previous quarter. By segment, the price of new build homes increased by 3%, whilst that of second-hand homes decreased by 0.2%; 80% of transactions involved second-hand homes.
