House prices rose by 7.5% in December 2021 compared to the same month a year earlier. However, they fell by 1% compared to November 2021, as reported by the appraisal firm Tinsa on Thursday.
Cristina Arias, Director of the Research Service at Tinsa, said “people have continued to invest some of their savings in the residential market, driven by the new housing needs that emerged during lockdown and by the historically low interest rates, which encourage purchasing decisions in an environment of uncertainty about inflation.
