According to the consultancy Colliers, hotel investment reached €1.094 billion in the first six months of 2021, more than 14.5% more than in the whole of 2020.
The firm accounted for 52 transactions between purchases of existing hotels, buildings for conversion to hotels and land for hotel developments.
Sixty percent of the investment was in resort assets and 40% in urban. According to market watchers, tourism assets will be the first to recover, benefiting a country like Spain. This scenario has whet the appetite of international investors.
