
Following the severe impact of Covid on the housing market, foreign buyers are once again returning to their prominent role in the Spanish real estate market.
That is according to the latest data published by the General Council of Notaries, which shows that international buyers carried out 63,934 home purchase transactions in Spain during the second half of 2021. This represents a year-on-year increase of 41.9%, whereby ending the negative streak recorded in H1 2021, and corresponds to a return to pre-pandemic levels.
