Xior Student Housing NV is negotiating to acquire the socimi Student Properties Spain, both companies announced on Monday.
In a statement sent to BME Growth, formerly MAB, Student Properties Spain indicated that both companies are in “exclusive discussions for a potential acquisition” of the Spanish socimi by the Belgian operator Xior.
Currently, the socimi, which has a shareholder base of more than 80 investors, has an asset located in the Salamanca district of Madrid, on Calle Don Ramón de la Cruz, which has been refurbished to convert it into a 146-room student residence.
