The development of Los Cerros is pushing ahead. Madrid City Council has definitively approved the urbanisation project for the area, located to the southeast of Madrid. According to a recent statement, building work on the developments in the southeast of the city will begin in September and the project will be divided into three stages. In total, it will last for 52 months and will involve an investment of 316 million euros.
Located between the Madrilenian neighbourhood of El Cañaveral and the municipalities of Coslada and San Fernando de Henares, Los Cerros spans a total surface area of 4.7 million square metres. Its development includes the construction of 14,276 homes, half of which will have capped prices to ensure their affordability.
