The American coworking company WeWork announced on Tuesday that it is going to file a lawsuit against the Japanese telecommunications conglomerate Softbank for its decision to withdraw the offer that it had presented to buy the company’s shares in a deal worth USD 3 billion.
In a statement, WeWork stated that the withdrawal of the offer by the Japanese company represented “a clear breach of its contractual obligations”. It added that it will go to court to ensure that the operation is completed or, failing that, to receive financial compensation.
