The rental segment is the star of the residential market in Spain. The lack of supply is continuing to drive up prices well above even the already soaring rate of inflation and Vía Célere wants to make the most of its extensive portfolio of build-to-rent assets. Many of its homes are already under construction and some are being marketed; its idea is to sell more than 2,000 units in a single block.
According to several media sources, the firm led by José Ignacio Morales has begun the process of putting a total of 2,431 homes up for sale before the end of the year, for which it hopes to receive proceeds of more than 500 million euros.
