The developer and logistics operator VGP has acquired a 20,000 square metre industrial plot in Martorell (Barcelona). The site is located less than 30 kilometres from Barcelona and has good connections to the port, airport, the A-2 and AP-7.
The Belgian company plans to develop a new logistics-industrial project on the plot, which will have more than 10,000 square metres of new facilities in the short term. In total, VGP plans to invest around nine million euros.
The deal, advised by Colliers, is part of the fund’s strategy to expand its portfolio in Spain. Currently, the logistics firm has more than one million square metres of land in the Spanish market. Nine logistics and industrial parks are being developed in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Cordoba, Bilbao and Zaragoza.
