The La Roca Village shopping centre has renovated its commercial space in a €50-million investment, looking to improve its facilities and promote new brands. It will also contribute to the economy’s recovery while boosting employment in the region.
The remodelling has two outstanding architectural elements: the underground car park with natural light and a central square that will be an attraction in itself. The L35 architectural studio was inspired by Catalan architecture and used artisanal techniques.
All the work was carried out using sustainable architecture techniques to obtain the Breeam Excellent certification. Photovoltaic panels, rainwater harvesting systems and drip irrigation, among other elements, were installed.
