The Urbas financial group has submitted its offer for the development of an office complex and shopping centre on a state-owned plot of land. The company is already in negotiations with the Transport Authorities of Dubai (RTA), the body in charge of infrastructure and transport services in the Emirate.
According to the property developer, this public-private partnership project is intended to modernise one of the oldest areas of the city, which has a high concentration of government offices. Union Station, the busiest metro station in the capital, is located in this old town area, which is near the airport.
