Urban Land Sales Fell by 41% During Q1 2020

Urban land transactions fell by 41% during the 3 months to March, with a combined value of 450 million euros, almost half the volume closed during the same period last year.

The number of urban land transactions fell by 40.9% during the first three months of the year compared to the same period in 2019. In total, 2,803 transactions were closed, down by 51.3% compared to the previous quarter, according to data from the Land Price Statistics published by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda.

The land operations closed were worth 450 million euros in total, almost 49% less than during the first quarter of 2019 when they amounted to 878 million euros. Likewise, the figure was 48.7% lower than the value transacted during the fourth quarter of last year (794 million euros).
