The logistics company UPS is going to open a new logistics centre in Barcelona within the next few weeks, which will serve as a boost for its business in Spain. The new platform, which has involved an investment of 40 million euros for the multinational, will support an important node in its European cross-border network, says Elisabeth Rodríguez, UPS General Manager for Spain and Portugal.
The centre has been built by CILSA – ZAL Port, Puerto de Barcelona and Merlin Properties. It forms part of a series of projects that the real estate company CILSA is developing in a new 270,000m² logistics park in the ZAL Port of Barcelona, together with more than 920,000m² of logistics warehouses in the main Logistics Zone of Barcelona.
