Adif has received proposals from 18 groups of companies for the international ideas competition that it launched to design the comprehensive renovation of Chamartín train station in Madrid. The ‘macro-project’ is estimated to be worth around € 1 billion and aims to turn the site into a sustainable transport hub, making it one of the largest and best train stations in the world.
“This time around, the Chamartín project is going to happen,” said the President of Adif, Isabel Pardo de Vera during her speech at a forum organised by the Tecniberia engineering association.
