Pau Guardans, owner of the Único Hotels chain, has decided to put the Hotel Único in Madrid up for sale to raise liquidity. Likewise, the Saudi prince Turki Bin Nasser, who owns the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona, has also put that iconic property on the market.
The real estate consultancy CBRE has been engaged to manage the sale of the Hotel Único in Madrid, according to El Confidencial. Located in a 19th-century mansion, on the Golden Mile in the heart of the sought-after Salamanca neighbourhood, the property comprises 44 rooms and suites. It is also home to a two-Michelin-star restaurant, run by chef Ramón Freixa, which is accessed through a private garden with a lounge area, and there are also rooms for events, a gym and a library.
