During the third quarter, there has been an overall decrease in house prices, after the second quarter in which the lockdown altered the market dynamics. The average house price in Spain decreased by 1.6% between the first and third quarters of the year, to reach 1,361 euros per square metre, according to the appraisals of new and second-hand homes carried out by Tinsa.
That value represents a 0.4% decrease compared to the same period a year earlier and the first year-on-year drop in house prices in the last five years, since the third quarter of 2015.
