The Supreme Court has confirmed the final acquittal of Madrid’s former mayor Ana Botella and her Governing Board for the sale of 1,860 public homes to Blackstone. It rejected the lawsuit filed by the Socialist councillor Mercedes González against the Court of Auditors for preventing her from appealing the matter in her capacity as a neighbour.

That is stated in the ruling, according to reports by Europa Press, in which the magistrates dismiss the appeal filed by councillor González Fernández against the ruling dated 11 December 2019, issued by the Court of Auditors. In this way, the preparation of the appeal is denied, and “this resolution must be brought to the attention of said court for its record in the case file”.
