A larger supply of public housing and lower rental prices in the large cities – where demand is concentrated – are some of the solutions for improving access to housing for young people that were highlighted at the annual real estate “preciosdeviviendas.es” forum, held on Thursday.
The emancipation rate of young Spaniards reached its lowest level for 17 years during the first quarter of 2019, with just 18.5% of the population aged between 16 and 29 years old having moved out of home, according to the Youth Council for Spain (CJE).
