The measures to lower rental prices in highly sought-after residential areas continue to be a source of conflict between the PSOE and Unidos Podemos government coalition partners in the context of their negotiations regarding the State Housing Act.
In this sense, the legislative proposal from the Ministry for Mobility, Transport and the Urban Agenda (Mitma) involves a reduction of up to 90% in the personal income tax for those owners who reduce the rent in the rental contracts of their homes by more than 10% in sought-after areas, compared to the previous contract.
