During 2020, 1.79 million square metres of space was leased in the Spanish logistics sector, including in Valencia, Zaragoza, Sevilla, Málaga and Bilbao, in addition to the country’s two main logistics centres: the central zone and Cataluña.
In this way, the central zone (Madrid, Guadalajara and Toledo) recorded an absorption volume of 923,000 square metres, the second-highest figure since 2011, of which 78% was net leasing. The total space leased across Spain represents an increase of 73% compared to 2019, according to data from CBRE.
