The Leasing of Coworking Spaces Plummets by 90% Due to Covid

The rental of flexible office space fell to 7,862 square meters during the first half of the year which represented a decrease of 91% compared to the same period last year.

The outbreak of the coronavirus, the months of lockdown and the social distancing measures introduced to prevent the uncontrolled spread of the pandemic have led to a collapse in the leasing of coworking spaces this year.

According to a report by the real estate consultancy JLL, the rental of flexible office space fell to 7,862 square metres during the first half of 2020, down by 91% compared to the same period last year.
