The support from the leader of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, for hiring by domestic tourism companies and the opening of the country to foreign visitors from July, are boosting the entrepreneurial spirit and share prices of the sector hardest hit by coronavirus.

In a country where tourism accounts for 12% of GDP, the Prime Minister has announced that there will be a tourist season this summer. And he has called on Spaniards and foreign tourists alike to start planning their vacations. The response from the stock market has been positive, with the Ibex 35 up by 2.38% at the end of trading on Monday.
