The Government Will Invest €5.3 Billion of European Funds in Urban Rehabilitation

The Executive's urban rehabilitation and regeneration plan aims to make 480,000 homes more energy efficient within three years.

The Government intends to take advantage of funds granted by the European Union for the energy rehabilitation of buildings, an activity that the European Commission has set as one of its priorities. The Vice-President and Minister for the Economy, Nadia Calviño, explained on Thursday that the program that the Executive is preparing in this regard will amount to 5.3 billion euros.

In this sense, the Government’s urban rehabilitation and regeneration plan aims to make 480,000 homes more energy efficient within three years, according to El País.
